Helping Children Grow

Dr. Wilcots is a specialist in Pediatric Medicine who delights in her patients and enjoys working with their parents as a partner in health care.

"I've been able to follow patients from birth to high school graduation and beyond, which is an amazing privilege," she says. "I even have some patients now whose parents were my patients from birth, which is just incredible."

Primary Health Care

At Associated Physicians, Dr. Wilcots provides comprehensive primary health care services for children, teens and young adults. She performs well-baby checkups and school physicals, and diagnoses and treats conditions ranging from rashes and asthma to chronic and serious health problems.

She says her practice has taught her to expect the unexpected. A routine question about one of her newborn patients, for example, led to the discovery that three generations of the baby’s family suffered from a potentially serious blood disorder.

Years of Experience

Dr. Wilcots is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Washington and the University of New Mexico. She was in practice for a short time in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Beloit, Wisconsin before joining Associated Physicians in 1997.

A Strong Bond

“I am proud of how comfortable and empowered parents are at Associated Physicians, because everyone from the nurse to the doctor to the receptionist knows and feels connected to their child,” she says. “We end up with a really strong bond with our patients.”
