Our Support Staff
We are dedicated to providing patients with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Amanda Van Elzen, OB/GYN Nurse Educator, helps guide OB/GYN patients through many life situations. Her years of experience in direct patient care, means that our patients can be assured they are receiving the trusted, expert care that they deserve.
Unlike other clinics, we know that it takes a TEAM to deliver the best care for our patients. From smiles at the front desk, to the warm, bedside manner of our nurses, medical assistants, to our detail-oriented lab and radiology technicians, we are dedicated to your health at every level.

Amanda Van Elzen
RN
Her role is not only unique to our clinic, but it’s also the first and only role of its kind in the Greater Madison Area. We are excited to bring our patients such a distinctive opportunity. Amanda provides pregnancy, lactation, surgical, and mental health resources as well as general education to our OB/GYN patients. Pregnant patients will meet her during their first OB appointment, 30-week appointment, and postpartum OB visits. Amanda is also a Certified Lactation Counselor who provides evidence-based breastfeeding education and support to lactating persons and families through education, advocacy and compassionate care.
Amanda says, “My role is to facilitate knowledge and confidence in my patients, not only during pregnancy and delivery, but throughout the different gynecological stages of life. I am passionate about empowering my patients to advocate for their health; both physical and mental. I am able to team with our incredible providers to assure the patient is taken care of, in each and every facet of their life. I have a special interest in inclusiveness and diversity, ensuring that each person feels heard and represented.
Prior to delivering babies, where I worked alongside our incredible physicians, I worked at UW as a nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). When I am not working, I am a mom to two kind and energetic boys who live and breathe baseball, so you can find me at a baseball diamond, rain or shine! We have a menagerie of animals, and I'm obsessed with my dog, Fallon (please ask me about her!)! I also partner with my husband at his real estate company to stage and prepare homes and properties to buy and sell. I love to travel, read 3 books at a time, peruse thrift stores and I am a (semi-successful) connoisseur of keeping house plants alive and corny jokes."
