Pediatrician, Dr. Amy Buencamino

Amy Buencamino, MD

Enjoying Every Age

Dr. Buencamino is a specialist in Pediatric Medicine who knows, as a doctor and as a parent, that the best stage of childhood is the one your child has just reached.

“When my first baby started smiling I thought that was so wonderful, and now my oldest has opinions he likes to talk over with me and I think that’s really fun,” she says, with a smile. “That crosses over into my pediatrics practice.  It’s amazing to hold a newborn but it’s also fantastic to be talking with a child about his or her goals.”

Personalized Pediatric Care

At Associated Physicians, Dr. Buencamino provides comprehensive primary health care services for children, teens and young adults. She performs well-baby checkups and school physicals, and diagnoses and treats conditions ranging from rashes and ear infections to chronic and serious health problems.

She says her experience as a parent and as a pediatrician only reinforces how important it is to see each child as a unique individual.

“Every child is different and every family is different,” she says. “You can find different challenges, surprises and strengths in each child at every age.”

Convenient and Comprehensive

Dr. Buencamino is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a board-certified pediatrician. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Rochester in New York, where she spent an additional year as pediatric chief resident. She is the mother of three school-aged children and joined Associated Physicians in 2004.

“Associated Physicians is uniquely suited for patients because you can receive medical care for your whole family under one roof,” she says. “I enjoy having time to get to know patients and their families.”
