Accepting New Patients

Comprehensive Care

Dr. Birschbach is board certified and licensed in Internal Medicine. She says the best part of her job is having the opportunity to form relationships with patients over time.

“I chose Internal Medicine to be able to provide comprehensive care for the whole person. I love being able to manage a wide variety of medical conditions and partner with patients to decide on the best, individualized course of action for them. It is such a privilege to be a person's "go-to" physician for all needs - from disease prevention to new illness.”

A Close-Knit Team

Dr. Birschbach was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed her residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. She joined Associated Physicians in August of 2023.

“Associated Physicians is such a special clinic! In a sea of large healthcare institutions, Associated Physicians sticks out in its mission to provide generations of high-quality, inclusive, multidisciplinary care to the community from a small, close-knit, physician-led clinic. I can't wait to be part of this team.”

Trust and Reliability

“I hope to bring a joyful, collaborative spirit to the clinic. I look forward to developing a positive and productive dynamic with my team and working to care for our patient panel together. I also look forward to being involved in education of students who rotate through the clinic.”

Dr. Birschbach also knows the importance of direct, open communication with patients.

“I hope my patients see me as a reliable provider who they can trust with their health. I think a major part of that is communication. My aim is always to provide clear and detailed communication in a way that allows patients to know exactly what is going on with their health and make educated decisions that align best with their goals.”

“I love cooking, walking, listening to podcasts and music, and spending time with my husband and son.”

Dr. Birschbach believes that there are so many things to love about Madison!

“We are particularly motivated by good food and can often be found at local restaurants! I love the lakes, parks and walking paths, summer events, and sense of community. I also enjoy the energy that the University brings.”
