Supporting Children's Health

Dr. McGee is a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Medicine who says taking care of children’s health is truly a privilege.

“I’ve been struck with how this is a privilege and a unique chance to help kids grow,” she says, of her pediatric practice. “Kids have a hopeful and positive outlook that is really refreshing. I also get to work with families as a whole to support parenting strategies, and that is very rewarding.”

Comprehensive Care

Dr. McGee is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She then moved to Madison for her pediatric residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, serving as chief pediatric resident and clinical instructor.

Quality Health Team

Dr. McGee says the combination of multidisciplinary teamwork and overall commitment to quality care drew her to Associated Physicians.

“I was excited that the doctors knew their patients and each other’s patients really well,” she says. “All the pediatricians here are committed to doing everything they can to give patients the best care. And because it’s a multidisciplinary medical practice, on-site health care professionals such as a nutritionist and a physical therapist can easily collaborate with the doctors to provide holistic patient care.”

This includes providing wellness care, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses as well as sports injuries, and even playing games with her patients. “That can really teach me a lot about them,” she says.
