Dr. Schroeder is een UW-Madison-alumna en behaalde haar Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991. Daarna behaalde ze haar Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree van The New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Ze deed een driejarige chirurgische residentie in het Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York, NY*. Ze was ook een chirurgische instructeur aan het New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Schroeder oefende ook privé in Manhattan, NY.
