Dr. Sharma is a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology dedicated to personal, reproductive, and family health.
“Even as a kid I wanted to be a doctor and deliver babies! That early interest, along with many personal experiences led me to this field of medicine,” she says. As a mother and physician, I strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a compassionate, personalized and realistic manner. By educating patients regarding their conditions and options, I give them autonomy to pursue their healthcare goals in a supportive environment.”
A native of Racine, Dr. Sharma worked as a nursing assistant during college. She holds bachelor of science degrees in neurobiology and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her medical degree from the UW School of Medicine and Public Health in 2012, where she subsequently served as co-chief administrative resident in obstetrics and gynecology. She continues as an adjunct faculty representative for the OB/GYN clinical competency committee.
Her previous experience includes practicing as an OB/GYN physician with a local private practice also associated with UnityPoint Meriter Hospital for nearly five years. She is a Fellow with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as a Community Board Advisor for the Wisconsin PATCH Program, a youth advocacy program that works to empower young people to take control of their own health.
