Frances Ryan, MD
Health Care Partnership
Dr. Ryan is a specialist in Internal Medicine who is committed to partnering with her patients for the best in personalized health care.
“I went into internal medicine because I enjoy working with people,” she says. “I think patient education is important because it empowers people to take care of themselves. Diabetes can be a life-changing diagnosis, for example, and when people understand the disease and know how certain medications work, it’s easier for them to make the life changes they need to make for their best health.”
Primary Care and More
Dr. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her residency training at the University of Connecticut, where she served an additional year as chief resident. She joined Associated Physicians in 2011.
In addition to providing comprehensive primary and preventive health care for adults at all stages of life, Dr. Ryan has a special interest in bone health and in diagnosing and treating chronic, serious and rare health conditions.
“One of the rewards of internal medicine is putting medical skills to work to help people.”
The mother of two teenagers, Dr. Ryan lives in Madison and is a member of the Sierra Club. She says the supportive team environment of Associated Physicians is a great fit for her life and her medical practice.
“The doctors here are highly competent physicians and we have a high level of training in our nursing staff,” she explains. “Associated Physicians has made a commitment to patient care. We are dedicated to expert continuity of care, and this is reflected in everything we do.”
