Internal Medicine & Cardiology
Dr. Ansfield is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He has devoted his 40-year career at Associated Physicians not only to providing excellent primary care for his patients, but also to working with them to manage heart disease and its complications.
“Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of illness and hospitalization,” Dr. Ansfield explains. “The blend of internal medicine and cardiology fits into my life-long practice goals, one of which is to help patients learn how we can work together to design treatment plans that postpone, prevent or treat this disease.”
Expert Care
Dr. Ansfield is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School, where he completed his residency training in internal medicine. He went on to complete his fellowship training in cardiology at Georgetown University.
At Associated Physicians, Dr. Ansfield has a full practice that provides comprehensive primary health care services for adult patients. He is also a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
The Next Generation
“It’s the most rewarding experience I have,” he says, “with the exception of practicing medicine. I am proud to train younger practitioners for their careers in medicine and share the Associated Physicians philosophy of providing excellent medical care and caring for people.”
