Devoted to Women’s Medicine

Dr. Hackforth-Jones has been a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecological Medicine for 25 years. She says she knew even before she entered medical school that she wanted to devote her career to women’s medicine.

“I was in graduate school when I decided to go into medicine,” she recalls. “I was working at Planned Parenthood and really enjoyed women’s medicine, so I entered medical school planning to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology.”

Born in England, Dr. Hackforth-Jones moved to the United States in 1973. She lives in Madison with her husband and has two adult daughters. She enjoys gardening and other outdoor hobbies, especially horseback riding. She is the proud owner of two American Saddlebreds, which she rides in competitive horse shows.

Comprehensive Services

At Associated Physicians, Dr. Hackforth-Jones provides comprehensive primary health care services for women of all ages. She performs checkups and gynecological exams, provides prenatal care, performs gynecological surgery, and diagnoses and treats conditions ranging from mild infections to chronic and serious health problems.

She delivers babies too, of course including the children of her colleagues at Associated Physicians!

“I love delivering babies; it’s a most wonderful privilege to bring new life into the world”.

Expert Medical Care

Dr. Hackforth-Jones graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She is a clinical associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She joined Associated Physicians in 1986.

“Associated Physicians is uniquely suited for patients because you can get care for your whole family under one roof,” she says. “I really like being able to have the time I need to see patients, and because we’re independent we can make things the way they need to be for our patients.”
