Devoted to Children and Families
Dr. Rainwater is a specialist in Pediatric Medicine who is devoted to the children and families she cares for every day.
“I’ve always been involved with children,” she says. “I’m a mother, my parents are educators, and I was formerly a gymnastics coach, so it was just a natural fit for me to go into pediatrics. I love babies and helping new parents. I love managing toddler behavior. I love watching children grow up and seeing how parents gain confidence.”
Primary Health Care
At Associated Physicians, Dr. Rainwater provides an array of comprehensive primary health care services for children, teens and young adults. She performs well-baby checkups and school physicals, and diagnoses and treats conditions ranging from ear infections and asthma to chronic and serious health problems.
Pediatric Experience
Dr. Rainwater is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Kansas. She then went on to serve several years as a pediatric hospitalist, which gave her extensive experience caring for children with very serious illnesses and conditions. She joined Associated Physicians in 2008.
